Artwork Guidelines:
All of our products are engraved using lasers and rotary engravers. We require high resolution solid black and white artwork. Grayscale, color or halftone images cannot be reproduced.
For your convenience, we have a Quick Link on the Home Page for uploading logos and engraving information.
PREFERRED file types (vector): EPS, CDR (CorelDraw), or AI (Adobe Illustrator), TIFF, GIF
We will also accept JPEG (High Resolution) or BMP that are 300 DPI or higher.
Logos taken or copied directly from websites are not high resolution and will require an artwork set-up charge.
If the image is not suitable for engraving our graphics department will create the proper type of artwork from your image. An artwork charge of $25.00 will be applied for this service.
What if I don't have the right kind of artwork file? Not a problem! Just send us what you have and if it is not suitable for engraving our graphics department will create the proper type of artwork from your image. A fee of $25.00 per image will apply for this service.
Why won't a logo from a website be acceptable without the artwork set-up charge? A logo or artwork taken or copied from a website will be a low resolution bitmap image, usually 72 dpi. This minimizes the space taken up on the website. However, when you zoom in on the image, the image is actually very blurry. This type of artwork will need to be worked on to prepare the image for engraving or screen printing. An art charge of $25.00 per image will apply.
Suggestions for providing engraving information: You can provide engraving information with your order or send us an email and attach a Microsoft Word, Excel, or PDF Document. For your convenience, we have a Quick Link on the Home Page for uploading logos and engraving information.
When we create your artwork proofs, our goal is to stay as true to your instructions as possible. Occasionally, we may have to rearrange your engraving information so that it is centered and sized to best fit the shape of the selected item. You will have the opportunity to review the proofs and make any changes as needed. We will send revised proofs until the design meets with your approval.
In Summary:
Good Artwork for engraving: Black and White, Vector, High Resolution 300dpi or higher
Bad Artwork for engraving - Gradients, Shading, Low Resolution - less than 300dpi
